i played the open and closed beta and it was a lot of fun. since then i have went back and tried to play other top down mobas again like strife, dota 2, hots and league but none of them grab my attention. they feel so out-dated. srife is on steam but it is practicaly dead, no one plays it anymore. dota 2 just feels too stiff and lackluster to me, hots feels too arcadey and league is probably the most fun but feels stiff and out dated as well. the graphics in SUPERNOVA, the sound, and the gameplay are all top notch. it is a very fun and refreshing game. without this game the moba genre i love feels empty. there is no fun mobas to play. it really saddens me that such a great game as this one didn't acquire more players.
the developers of strife, the ones who made hon, gave up on strife and when they abandoned it and updating it they at least gave it to the fans on steam. so for those die hard fans they can still play it. the irony is that dota2 and strife are both on steam and if you know your moba history this almost seems like having two rival teams sharing the same field. either way. i was just happy that strife was not completely thrown away.
is there any chance supernova can be transferred to steam? would steam buy or need to buy the rights to this? would this benefit the developers of this game? die hard fans don't need updates. we just want to play what we love.
i just don't understand how such an innovative game as this could be brushed aside while a game like league is still active 7 years later..
