With today’s patch, we’re fixing a bug which was preventing the intended amount of IC rewards in the new system to be given out. Due to this bug, we’re also granting all players a free seven day IC booster. This should help to make up for the lost IC gains over the last week while this bug has been in effect.
In addition to this, we understand that some players are very upset regarding the IC price changes which went into effect between our Closed and Open Beta phases. We understand this frustration, and while we will continue to stand by these changes; we also want to ensure that we are treating our players properly. Due to this, we are granting all players an additional 50,000 IC to use in game as they choose. This amount of IC can be used to purchase two or more Commanders with change to spend on technologies, units, or war techs as players see fit.
To be clear, while IC prices were increased between the two beta phases, our intent was to also increase the amount of rewards which were being given out to compensate for this increase; however the bug outlined above caused this to temporarily not be the case. Our intent is that players should be able to gain roughly 1,000 IC per hour, leading to the possibility that you could unlock one Commander every 6-24 hours of time spent playing the game. This includes all IC rewards, not only those which you earn from playing matches directly, but also those earned upon leveling up and by completing your daily missions. This ratio of time to reward has in fact remained the same between the two phases of the game.
We understand that this change has caused some players to become upset, and we hope that you will accept this gift as our way of making up for this change. While the rewards are currently in the process of being delivered, please understand that they may not appear on your account for up to 24 hours.
